🎓Future Plans: University of Pittsburgh to study sociology on a pre-law track

✔️What has dance taught you: How to express my feelings without words but through my movements and storytelling.

❓️What quote or personal philosophy guides your daily life? To be grateful for everything i have in life because your regular Tuesday is someone’s miracle.

👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏽What is your favorite thing about DEAC? I grew up here and it truly is another family for me. The teachers at DEAC are truly so beyond supportive and charismatic and i’ve made lifelong friends that have been by my side since the beginning.

🖤If you could tell younger dancers one thing, what would it be? Sometimes it’s easy to get in your head and frustrated with yourself but time goes by so fast so remember to enjoy the time with your friends because sooner than you know it you’ll all be going separate ways.

🤪One fun fact about me is... I love music A LOT it’s a big part of who i am and i’ve been to 14 concerts and have tickets for 3 more this year.

i plan on going into a major of Dance Education at the University of Slippery Rock

✔️What has dance taught you:
Dance has taught me to embrace your own style. there are so many different ways you can move your body and so many different styles to explore. everyone’s interpretation of certain styles is what makes the dance world so unique and special

❓️What quote or personal philosophy guides your daily life?
i always try to go by the rule of “it isn’t what you go through, it’s how you handle it”. training yourself to stop and review a stressful situation is never easy, but it will always pay off.

👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏽What is your favorite thing about DEAC?
DEAC has always been a space for me to be able to express how i truly feel and never feel judged. although there are times where dance doesn’t feel great, i still always feel included no matter my situation.

🖤If you could tell younger dancers one thing, what would it be?
DO WHAT YOU LOVE! life is to short to hold yourself back from your true potential because of judgement. whether that’s in dance,education,or hobbies, don’t let anyone tell you it isn’t possible just because it’s hard. everyone is capable of achieving all levels of success regardless.

Beginner Intermediate Instruction focusing on rolls, cartwheels, bridge kickovers, handstands, limbers and balances.
June 30-July 2 from 5:00-6:15--$55 per dancer

Intermediate and Advanced Instruction focusing on walkover variations, handstands, chest stands, forearm stands, aerials & aerial variations, skill sequencing, front and back handspring technique, and tuck back technique-
June 30-July 2 from 6:30-8:00--$64 per dancer

🎓Future Plans:
Majoring in Psychology at Coastal Carolina University.

✔️What has dance taught you:
Dance has taught me to always give 110% every time. I’ve also learned to go after all of my goals with strength and compassion. Even when things become challenging, I must keep my head held high and try my best! Dance has also taught me the importance of teamwork. Dancing with such talented and amazing people has been such a joy!

❓️What quote or personal philosophy guides your daily life?
“Do everything in love.”

This bible verse reminds me that a positive mindset is everything. It is so important to be kind and understanding to everyone/everything around you!

👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏽What is your favorite thing about DEAC?
My favorite thing about DEAC was meeting so many amazing people. I am so beyond blessed to be apart of this amazing family. I love going to competitions and dancing with the people I love the most.

🖤If you could tell younger dancers one thing, what would it be?
All of your hard work and dedication pays off! Dance can be difficult and challenging. It’s important to take every obstacle and approach it with a smile. Pressure is a gift!
