Meet DESTINY, our newest addition to the Art in Motion Team!
Destiny will be joining our line-up this coming Fall, teaching Kids Contemporary and Kids Jazz on Wednesday nights. In her own words...
"I love to dance because it’s always been a passion of mine ever since I was 5 years old. Once I knew I wanted to dance I never stopped. As someone who is shy at times, dance has always been an outlet for me where I can let my dance do the talking rather than actually having to speak."

Join Tricia as she leads our young dancers through Ritmo Jazz, an upbeat class fuses jazz dance with Latin and Afro-Caribbean influences to create a high-energy experience full of culture and flair.
TUESDAYS
5:00 pm – Kids Tap & Jazz ages 6 and up
5:45 pm – Kids Bellydance, ages 8 and up
5:45 pm – Creative Kids, ages 3-5
6:30 pm – Ritmo Jazz Dance, ages 8 & up
6:30 pm – Tap Primer, beginners
7:15 pm – Adult Jazz: Soul & groove

Here comes the 2nd Annual Community Nutcracker, Everyone!
Art Motion Pittsburgh is proud to announce that registration is now open for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit’s second annual - Community Nutcracker for all ages!
Directed by our own, Jacqueline Perich, the Community Nutcracker will be a very chill, yet professional, way to perform and connect with our community! There are opportunities to dance, choreograph, work backstage, and design sets and costumes!
Whether you grew up performing in the Nutcracker every year, or have always dreamed of being on the stage, this production is for EVERYONE!
This production is for ages 3 - 100+ with a focus on adults who may not have any opportunities to perform! Plenty of roles for children, too!
Call all your friends! Make positive memories dancing together!
This year our production will be held at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater on Thursday, December 17, 2026. There is a MANDATORY dress rehearsal on Tuesday, December 15, 2026 at the theater.
