Great to see new and returning players.

A new book was published and given to the Mayor of Pittsburgh this week. I'd love to get you all to read it. This one has a few points of aquatics throughout. But the next edition is going to have a PLAY within it that details the who, what, when, why and how of Underwater Hockey. We need to build that chapter and expand the book in the next edition.

Part one is The Aquatic Directive about the value of swim pools.

Part two is strategic principles.

Part three are meta plays -- and UWH can fit within the All-County Sports Camps, the iLeague and get coordination boost with an Athletic Reform Task Force.

Part four are the plays.... This is where UWH gets to put its best fin forward!

More in the comment and links in the yellow handout that went to folks at the recent practice.

We had a great first session of the year on Tuesday. Enter Door A3. Park in the spaces facing the pool and the practice field and track is behind you. Next session begins at 7:30 pm as we follow the aqua club practice. Forgot to take a photo. Played 4 on 4. Great to see a return of Mike too.

It’s shaping up to be a summer of optimism for Pittsburgh’s resurgent Downtown and South Side — but also a season of concern. Market Square wrapped up a $15 million upgrade in April just in time for the 2026 NFL Draft. South Side’s Oliver Bath House, the city’s on...

It has been more than 3 weeks since I sat with the director of Pittsburgh Citiparks and despite my follow up texts, emails and call, I have no reply. I took a puck and stick to the meeting.

Wish me luck. Trying to pitch a new set up for Pittsburgh Underwater Hockey. I finally have a meeting tomorrow with the director. Last week’s delay was my fault. The bottom is mid-sized tiles. I think it will be okay. But we’d have to see how it works.
The school pool access has been a nightmare.
Cross your fingers.
