We’d love to introduce you to our 2016BY team!
Coach Ryan Bianco is currently serving as an assistant coach for the 10U Bittel team. This is his fifth year coaching with the Hornets organization and has coached at the mite through p*e wee levels. Additionally, Coach Ryan serves as the junior varsity assistant coach for the Mt. Lebanon High School hockey team. Ryan looks forward to another fun season and watching the team grow on and off the ice.
Coach Cindy Bittel currently serves as the head coach for the 2016BY Hornets and an assistant coach for the 8U Blue Hornets Bruckner. After a lifetime of playing the game—including college women’s hockey—she has spent the last seven years giving back to the sport behind the bench. "My ultimate goal is to influence young athletes to become driven, organized, confident, and motivated leaders both in hockey and in life. I am a fierce advocate for building a supportive, competitive team culture centered around teamwork, respect, positive attitude, and giving maximum effort every single time we hit the ice." “I’m most looking forward to how much our team can grow and support one another this season.”
Coach Jon Wadsworth is currently serving as an Assistant Coach for the 10U Bittel team and is in his second year coaching with the Hornets. He grew up playing AA hockey with the Hershey Jr. Bears before playing ACHA club hockey at the University of Pittsburgh. Jon looks forward to helping the team build trust, grow their hockey knowledge, and maintain a positive attitude each day—values that will help them both on the ice and beyond.
Coach Bryan currently serves as an assistant for 10U Bittel and 8U McLachlan. He played hockey for 15 years and this is his third year as a Hornet Coach. I always enjoy helping players grow on and off the ice in becoming better players and people. I am a big advocate of helping players strive for greatness by keeping a positive attitude, team focused, and giving 110% every time they hit the ice.
Coach Cliff, currently an assistant coach for 10u Bittel, started his hockey journey as a sq**rt Hornet and continues to play today. His primary focus for the team this year is skill development, hard work, and most importantly, having fun. I’m looking forward to coaching sq**rts because it gives you the unique chance to shape young players during a critical age where fundamental skills, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the game are built.
