Fb Fam, let's talk about some Pittsburgh Black History ... Did you know that the FIRST SCHOOL in Pittsburgh was established in 1832 by Black Leaders from Bethel AME Church in Downtown Pittsburgh TO EDUCATE BLACK BOYS AND GIRLS, that by 1833 this BLACK SCHOOL had registrated 85 BLACK STUDENTS, that in 1868 this SCHOOL later transitioned to MILLER SCHOOL in the Hill District, and that, in the early 2000s it was moved to Bedford ave on the Hill ... BUT TODAY, and TRAGICALLY, the Pittsburgh Public School Board has recently voted to CLOSE this historically BLACK, and first Pittsburgh School established in 1832 for the education of Black Girls and Boys ... We have to fight to keep this historical school open ... Pittsburgh currently DONALD TRUMP AND WHITE RACIST are trying to destroy all Black history and black education in America; but unlike Trump, we have to preserve and celebrate Black history & culture and educate our children about that history - we can't allow this Black education center to close !!! Please Join this FIGHT to keep Black History Alive in Pittsburgh, and STOP DEVELOPERS FROM TAKING OVER THIS BLACK HISTORICAL BUILDING!!!
