Did you know boxing can take the changing pace of a walk, jog, run and sprint—and turn it into a full-body cardio workout? 🥊
Instead of only moving your legs, boxing brings your legs, hips, core and upper body into every round. As the pace changes, you decide how much speed, power and full-body movement to add.
Your coach changes the pace. You control your effort.
I challenge you to find a boxing gym, take a class, learn the punches until you’re comfortable, then hit it hard and see how you feel. 🥊 Doesn’t have to be Punch Boxing and Fitness. Just pick a place. We are advocating boxing as a workout, not just our gym.
🚶 WALK: Start with controlled punches and light movement. This gradually raises your heart rate, warms up your body and helps you find your rhythm. When you begin using a little more of your legs and core, it’s similar to adding an incline to your walk.
🏃 JOG: Start stepping as you punch, pushing through your legs and moving your body with the combinations. Your heart rate climbs, more of your body gets involved and you begin burning more calories—while maintaining a pace you can sustain.
⚡ RUN: Keep your feet moving throughout the combinations. Punch in and out, maintain a faster rhythm and continue using your legs, hips and core. This challenges your conditioning while building coordination and full-body endurance.
🔥 SPRINT: Push hard through your legs, rotate through your hips and core, and throw fast, powerful punches. These short full-body bursts drive your heart rate up before your coach brings the pace back down to recover.
