Overnight Parking Restrictions Lifted
Overnight 3-5 a.m. on-street parking restrictions are being temporarily lifted by the Mayor. This is effective from 3am on Saturday, September 5 through 5am on Monday, September 7. Restrictions resume at 3am on Tuesday, September 8.

Chestnut St Bridge Closure Update
Reminder -The Chestnut St bridge closes today for repairs over the the next 30 days. While this closure takes place, there will be two-way traffic on Elm St. Please check posted signs and follow accordingly.

Allegheny County Health Department’s Mosquito-Borne Disease Control Program (BU 1224) will be conducting a truck-mounted, Ultra Low Volume (ULV) spray event on Wednesday August 12th, between 8pm and 11pm to decrease mosquito populations and reduce the risk of West Nile virus (WNV) transmission. In case of inclement weather, the rain date will be Thursday August 13th.
Areas of focus will be the city neighborhoods of Lawrenceville, Garfield, Bloomfield, Friendship, Schenley Park, Squirrel Hill, Point Breeze, Regent Square, Edgewood, and Wilkinsburg. Recent mosquito samples from these locations have tested positive for WNV.
The pesticide being applied is Zenivex E20 and is designed to provide quick, effective control of adult mosquito populations. Zenivex has a very low toxicity profile to mammals and has negligible impact on non-target insects and the environment. It will be released at just 0.6 ounces per acre. The SDS sheet and label for Zenivex E20 are attached to this email along with the PEMA notification form.
