Franklin Regional Hockey Club

The Boys Varsity Hockey team battled to a 6–5 shootout victory over the Wilmington Greyhounds last night in Game 1 of the PIHL Charities Tournament!

It was a team effort in net, with defenseman Brock Swearingen stepping in at goalie for the first two periods and doing a great job! 🥅 Peyson Neff took over in the third and came up with the saves needed to help send the game to overtime and a shootout.

After a 5–5 tie in regulation, Grant Williams scored the shootout winner to seal the victory!

Franklin Regional Varsity Hockey will take part in the PIHL Charities Preseason Tournament this week at Ice Castle Arena!

This is the final week to register for the FR Junior Panthers 2026–2027 developmental hockey season. The program is excited to welcome back returning families and meet new ones on the ice! ❄️🥅
 
Program Overview & Registration Details 📋
Eligibility: Open to all 8U, 10U, and 12U hockey families within the Franklin Regional Area School District. No prior hockey experience is required!

Cost: $450 per player.
Player Package: Registration fee includes custom jerseys and socks featuring the player’s last name—look sharp and play proud!

The Franklin Regional Hockey Club is proud to host the 6th Annual Damian Bearley Memorial Hockey Tournament, bringing together scholastic hockey teams from across Western Pennsylvania for another exciting preseason weekend.

This year’s tournament will feature:

🔥 Junior Varsity Division
🔥 NEW for 2026 — Varsity Division

Held in honor of former Franklin Regional player Damian Bearley, this tournament has become a special tradition and a premier preseason event for local hockey programs.
