A balanced training week gives you enough of each piece without letting one take over.

Strength builds muscle and gives you a base to work from. Higher intensity conditioning helps you push the pace. Longer aerobic work builds endurance and helps you recover between harder efforts.

When one piece is missing, the week starts to feel different. Too much intensity can wear you down. No aerobic work leaves a gap in your conditioning. Not enough recovery makes it harder to keep progressing.

At Arsenal, we build the week so those pieces work together.

Having something to train for can make it a lot easier to stay consistent.

It could be a HYROX, a vacation, a wedding, or just a date on the calendar where you want to feel a little stronger, fitter, or more confident.

The goal gives your training direction. It gives the week a little more focus and makes it easier to see how each workout fits into the bigger picture.

At Arsenal, we can help you build your training around whatever you’re working toward while still keeping strength, conditioning, and consistency at the center.

Then once the event is over, you’ve already built a routine you can keep going with.

A lot of people judge a workout by how hard it felt that day.

But good programming has to think beyond today.

Every session should fit into the bigger picture.

Some days push strength.

Some days push conditioning.

Some days build your base.

Some days leave enough room to recover and come back ready for the next one.

The goal is not to make every workout feel as hard as possible.

The goal is to make the whole week work together.

There are hundreds of exercises you can do, but most strength training comes back to a few basic movement patterns.

Squat. Press. Hinge. Pull.

Those patterns give you a foundation to build strength, add muscle, and improve how you perform in the rest of your training.

At Arsenal, the exact lifts change from cycle to cycle, but the movement patterns stay consistent. That gives you enough repetition to keep progressing without doing the exact same thing forever.

Train the basics. Get stronger. Let everything else build from there.
