🍂✨ TEACHER SPOTLIGHT: MISS STEFANIE WEBER ✨🍂

As we get ready to welcome our dancers back for another wonderful season, we’re excited to continue introducing the incredible teachers who make the Cantarella School of Dance so special! 🩰

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Miss Stefanie Weber, our wonderful Tap instructor! 👞✨

Miss Stefanie brings an incredible depth of knowledge and experience to our students. A lifelong dance artist specializing in the American vernacular art form of Tap Dance, she has studied with tap legends Jimmy Slyde and Dianne Walker and has pursued dance and movement throughout the United States and abroad.

Her passion for movement, musicality, creativity, and education makes her such a special presence in the classroom. We are incredibly fortunate to have her sharing her experience and love of tap with the next generation of Cantarella dancers. ❤️

With extensive training in hip-hop, modern, jazz, and classical ballet, she continues to inspire dancers of all ages while furthering her own education through programs at Jacob’s Pillow and other local studios.

Miss Kaitlynn earned her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Berkshire Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), with a concentration in Education, Psychology, and Sociology. She is also a certified yoga instructor and teaches aerial silks and movement classes throughout Berkshire County.

There’s something incredibly special about discovering the history that shaped the arts in our own backyard.

This wonderful article explores the connection between Jacob’s Pillow and Lee, highlighting how the Cantarella family helped bring dance to the community and contributed to a legacy that has inspired generations of dancers. It’s a beautiful reminder that the Berkshires have long been home to a rich and vibrant dance tradition.

As we carry Cantarella School of Dance into its next chapter, I’m proud to honor the legacy built by those who came before us while continuing to create new opportunities for the next generation of artists.

A heartfelt thank you to Joshua Bloom for the incredible time, dedication, and research that went into uncovering and preserving this important history. Your work helps ensure these stories will continue to be shared and appreciated for years to come.

Thank you as well to The Berkshire Edge for publishing this piece and helping celebrate the rich history of dance in our community.

💜 Here’s to preserving our past while inspiring our future.
