Tonight, the JAHS Board of Education recognized two incredible young men for their outstanding 2026 wrestling accomplishments and what a season it was for both of them. ♥️🖤💪🏼

Rayce and Paul represented Jonathan Alder with toughness, discipline, heart, and pride every single time they stepped on the mat. Their accomplishments this season are a reflection of countless hours of hard work, sacrifice, and commitment to the sport and to their team.

Watching these boys grow as athletes and young men has been something truly special. The future is bright, and our community could not be more proud of them.

Congratulations, Rayce and Paul, on an unforgettable 2026 season and this well-deserved recognition tonight. Keep the gas pedal down. 💯💪🏼🔥

Another great day of lifting with steadfast, Coach Michael was in today!

After starting Sunday lifting with coach Enright at CDZ. We are following it up with two days a week with steadfast trainers. I am super excited about the first day and the payoff next season! Watching these guys get stronger and achieving their goals is going to be great. Truly want to thank TJ Enright and Coach Jonathan from steadfast. Most importantly want to thank the parents for giving the kids an opportunity to be there and athletes for having the want to be there. Moving the program forward every year has to keep happening and this is going to be a game changer for everybody.

After Attending the spring central district coaches meeting last night, I am happy to announce we had 3 first team All-Metro D-II (the best wrestler in D-II in central Ohio in your weight class) and one Honorable mention (top 3 in central district D-II in your weight class)award winners. 1st team 120 Rayce Watson 132 Edward Anderson 175 Paul Byerly Honorable mention 144 Nixon Baker. Congratulations for being recognized as the top guys around, it is a great recognition of your hard work and dedication. Go Alder!

The road to the Schottenstein Center is never easy, and finishing on the podium in the State of Ohio takes heart, grit, and relentless work. Rayce battled through one of the toughest brackets in the state and finished his junior season the right way… with a win and a pin in his final match.

This kid continues to prove that hard work, resilience, and a gas-pedal mentality pay off.

The journey doesn’t stop here.
One more year. More work to do.
