Unfortunately our opponents have had to pull out of this due to low numbers, so looks like a week off for the boys!

3 points ✅

Another big test awaits this Sunday as we welcome SalfordSpartansFC to George Salter Academy for Gameweek 3 of the Northern Wellbeing League.

Sandwell head into the fixture with a perfect two wins from two, having scored 15 goals and conceded just once so far and sitting top of the table.

But standing in the way are a Salford side who have also made a strong start. The Spartans are unbeaten after two games, sitting fourth with a win and a draw, while they’ve already found the net 10 times.

With just two points separating the sides, it’s shaping up to be a competitive encounter between two unbeaten teams.

Come down and support the boys! 💙

Happy Friday! Given the success of the Sydney Sweeney post (it became our most viewed post ever), here’s a completely real and authentic picture of DUA LIPA repping the Social.

It can’t go on like this can it?

🏆 SEPTEMBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH 🏆

GEORGE LIPERIS 👏

It’s been a long time coming.

George consistently puts in outstanding performances from the centre of midfield, but often flies under the radar because, quite simply, we’ve come to expect it from him. 🎯

A ridiculous range of passing, excellent vision and an ability to pick out a pass that can unlock a defence - all while controlling the game from the middle of the park. This season he’s also added goals and even more assists to his game.

A hugely important player, a much-loved member of the squad, and thoroughly deserving of this one.

Congratulations, George! 🏆

We came away with a hard-earned three points after a 5-1 victory over a much improved Wrexham side. 💪🏼

The first half was an end-to-end, cagey affair, with Wrexham showing just how much they have developed since our previous meeting last season. They were resilient from the first whistle and made life difficult for us, particularly in the middle of the park, where they were onto our players like a rash and made it difficult to play through them.

Despite not necessarily deserving to be ahead at the break, we went into half time 2-1 up, giving ourselves a platform to build from.

The second half was a different story. Wrexham began to tire and we took full advantage, finding more space and making our quality count. Despite travelling with low numbers, we continued to push on and eventually ran away with the game, adding three more goals to secure a convincing 5-1 victory.

⚽️ Goals: Bez, George x2, Chez, Liam. 💥

It was a great result in what could easily have become a very tricky afternoon. The squad showed the quality & togetherness needed to grind out results like this, particularly when the numbers aren’t on our side.

A big well done to the lads, and also well done to Wrexham for a great competitive game.

⭐ Man of the Match - GEORGE

A long time coming.

George produced an outstanding display in the middle of the park, contributing two goals alongside a brilliant all-round performance.

His passing, tackling, energy and willingness to battle for every ball were class throughout. He was at the heart of everything we did and fully deserved the Man of the Match award.

Take a bow, Andrea Firlo. 🔥
