Do you enjoy walking? 🚶‍♀️‍➡️🚶‍♀️‍➡️🚶🏻‍♀️‍➡️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚶🏻
Many of us love strolling through our favorite paths, taking in the sights and sounds of nature. During nice weather, pedestrian paths are bustling with people moving back and forth, enjoying the fresh air and scenery.

Walking may feel like a workout - you move, sweat, and feel accomplished - but there's a significant difference between movement and meaningful exercise. Understanding this distinction can transform your approach to physical activity and longevity.

Walking offers numerous benefits and it’s an excellent starting point for those who are sedentary. It’s designed for efficiency but it may not provide the muscle strengthening, bone density, mobility, or cardiovascular benefits that more structured workouts offer.

Cardiovascular benefits may be minimal for those who are already somewhat active. They need targeted exercises that address these limitations. Then, you can experience more profound benefits, like increased strength, better mobility, and enhanced cardiovascular health.

Let’s make walking a wonderful complement to a more comprehensive fitness plan! The key is to recognize what walking can and cannot provide, and to take charge of your physical and mental health by incorporating a well-rounded approach. I’m here to assist. 🤗

Your body thrives on three vital hormones - adrenaline, cortisol, and insulin - and with them, your life becomes truly sustainable. Yet, many people unknowingly disrupt this delicate balance daily.

The intricate harmony of these hormones is essential: adrenaline ignites the cycle, cortisol responds, and insulin orchestrates the aftermath.

When cortisol surges, it elevates blood sugar levels, preparing your body to take action. However, most people miss out on physical activity to burn off this excess energy, allowing it to build up and wreak havoc on their system.

As insulin works tirelessly to stabilize sugar levels, it creates a rollercoaster effect, straining the body and depleting its vitality.

Fortunately, the path to balance can start by taking simple steps: nourish your body with wholesome foods, prioritize rest before 10 (maybe 10:30ish), engage in uplifting and productive physical activity, and redefine your path to true productivity and dedication.

I can only say… I LOVE what I do. Unlocking the mind and body connection to unleash what’s already within you. 💪❤️ Today, we achieved a breakthrough. It was incredibly fulfilling to see him beam with pride and amazed by his own accomplishments. One step at a time. It’s not about achieving perfection, but celebrating progress. 🙏 This person had Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) which affected half of his body and had a long recovery journey. He’s OK now but dealing with the aftermath with pain, limb weakness and mobility at 67 yo. I am honored to have him show up to all my classes and always being there to do the work with everyone else. ❤️

There are countless ways to modify poses to make them knee-friendly, and no limits on using blocks to support your practice.
