This Memorial Day weekend, may we take time to relax, unwind, and honor the freedoms we enjoy thanks to the sacrifices of our servicemen and women.

Our facility will be open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Group exercise classes and Child Watch will be offered during the morning hours.

A big thank you to our GX, CW, and MSR teams working on Monday to serve our members during the holiday. ❤️

Our preschool graduates enjoyed ceremonies, class performances, and the presentation of diplomas as we celebrated all they’ve accomplished.

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH 🌟

A big shoutout to Daniel Martinez, our incredible contract janitor!

Daniel was on standby when the branch had to close due to a water leak outside. As soon as repairs were completed, he jumped into action, quickly cleaning all restrooms so we could reopen as soon as possible.

He was also instrumental during Healthy Communities Day, helping keep the facility clean and running smoothly despite increased traffic.

Dedicated, dependable, and rarely missing a day, Daniel is truly one of our unsung heroes. We especially appreciate the extra care he gives to our preschool spaces and his support on the fitness floor during Paul’s absence.

Thank you, Daniel, for all you do and for helping make our branch a great place for members, families, and staff!

We are proud to recognize Parker Olinger for her outstanding service through her Girl Scout Gold Award Project! 💛

Recently, Parker presented the Plano Family YMCA Preschool and Child Watch with Calming Kits designed to support autistic and neurodivergent children. These kits include sensory tools and fidgets that can help children regulate emotions, reduce stress, and feel more comfortable when overstimulated.

Projects like this create more inclusive, supportive spaces for all children and families in our community. Thank you, Parker, for your compassion, leadership, and dedication to making a positive impact at the Y! 🌟
