We are thrilled to welcome Shadae Randolph as the new Preschool Director at Plano YMCA Preschool! 💙

Beginning July 20, Shadae will lead our preschool program, overseeing daily operations and ensuring every child and family receives the high-quality, nurturing experience they deserve. She will also support branch initiatives, community outreach, and our Annual Campaign efforts.

With more than 10 years of experience in strategic program management, coaching, and youth development, Shadae brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping children, families, and staff thrive. Most recently, she served as a Program Director with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas School-Aged Services Department, where she was recognized for her commitment to operational excellence and creating positive experiences for youth.

🚓💙 Police Visit Our Preschool! 💙🚓

Our preschoolers had some very special visitors last week! We were excited to welcome Officer Davis and Officer Osborn from the Plano Police Department, who shared important safety lessons in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way.

Together, they taught our children three simple rules to help keep them safe:

✅ Always check with a trusted adult before going outside.
✅ Stay with a friend whenever possible.
✅ If someone you don’t know tells you to go with them, use your loud outside voice and say, “NO!”

We’re so grateful to the Plano Police Department for taking the time to invest in our children and help them build confidence and safety awareness. Thank you, Officer Davis and Officer Osborn, for making learning about safety both meaningful and memorable! 💙👮🚔

☀️ Fun at Camp! 🛶🌊

Last week, our staff and board members spent the day at Camp on the Lake, our beautiful waterfront day camp on Lake Lewisville! We had the pleasure of handing out cold drinks to nearly 200 campers and counselors, helping everyone stay cool while enjoying an amazing day of summer fun.

At the YMCA, camp is more than just a place to spend the summer—it’s where kids discover new adventures, build confidence, make lifelong friendships, and create memories they’ll never forget. 💙

We’re especially grateful to the generous supporters of our Annual Campaign, whose gifts made it possible for six children from the Samaritan Inn, Collin County’s only homeless shelter, to experience the joy of camp this week. Your generosity is changing lives and opening doors for children who might not otherwise have this opportunity.
