We’re getting ready to introduce some new colors to our Scuba Adventures rashguard collection, and we wanted to do a vibe check with y’all!

We’ve got eight colours in the running, and we want to know which ones deserve a place in our collection!

And because we appreciate a little audience participation, we thought we’d make things more interesting. 🎁

Why do the nurse sharks of Banco Chinchorro follow divers? 🦈

It’s something Brent noticed while diving there: these sharks don’t always just pass by. They often stay with the group, following divers through the water in a way he says he hasn’t experienced with nurse sharks anywhere else in the world.

And there may be a fascinating reason why.

Researchers at Banco Chinchorro have documented nurse sharks pursuing invasive lionfish and following scuba divers, suggesting that some may have learned to associate divers with an opportunity to find prey.

Is lionfish hunting the reason they behave this way? We don’t know for certain. But that little mystery is part of what makes diving with wild animals so interesting.
