It's easy to get to, just a short jump off interstate 84. Off the tee a player will be required to execute every disc golf shot; hyzer, anhyzer, hyzer-flips, flick....etc. Each hole is littered with trees guarding against birdies and pars. Most tees have a wooden platform with flypads, the three that don't have just pads but will have platforms by September 2012. The course is free to play and with signs is easy to navigate even for the first time player. Panthorn is one of CT's hardest disc golf courses. The course demands pin point accuracy, a drive or approach off line just a little could end with disastrous results. Historically, Panthorn's rough has devoured Player's hopes of birdies and pars. While demanding, it's difficulty is one of it's best assets. Whether competing in a weekly league, our big summer tournament or a casual round with friends, the victor is the player who refuses to give up and can forget those "bad" holes. With danger looming on every hole, the outcome of a round can change really quick. Stay in the game to win.
