Such a fun full-circle moment! 💙 One of my former students purchased a Dance Made Simple workbook for her daughter, and I just love that I still get to be a small part of my former students’ lives.

Watching them grow, step into new seasons, and now use something I created makes my heart so happy. 🥹

And to any of my former students, if you’re interested in a workbook for your child, I can mail one directly to you! I’ll even add a little extra fun with a box of crayons, a sticker sheet, and some ballet stickers.

Dance really does create connections that last far beyond the classroom!

🎉 Today we celebrate Chloe! 🎉

It’s Chloe’s birthday, and we’re so lucky to be celebrating her third year at Elements! She is truly one of our beloved teachers—our dancers, tumblers, parents, and team absolutely adore her.

Chloe brings such a sweet, gentle, kind, and loving presence to everyone she meets, and we’re incredibly grateful for the heart she brings to Elements. 💙

🎉 Today we celebrate Ms. Theresa! 🎉

It’s her birthday today! This is Ms. Theresa’s first year at Elements, and our dancers already absolutely love her!

She has an incredible way of connecting and communicating with her students while showing them love, patience, and compassion—all while challenging them to work hard and grow in every class.

Candy Donations Needed! 🍭

We have several fun events coming up at Elements, and we need your help stocking up on candy!

Candy donations will be used for our Homecoming Parade, BFF Week, YMCA Trunk or Treat, and scavenger hunts!

💙 While the dancers dance, the adults get to have a little fun too!

While our dancers are busy learning and growing at The Branch Dance Experience, we encourage our parents and adults to take the opportunity to enjoy dinner together and connect outside the studio.

If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in Carthage, we recommend Lucky J’s Steakhouse or Arena Restaurant!

Great dance experiences for the kids + good food and conversation for the adults = a pretty great weekend!

💙 Why Are We Called "Academy" Instead of "Studio?"

Every dance studio teaches dance. It’s the approach to teaching that matters.

At Elements, dancers aren't simply coming to class to learn steps, memorize choreography, and prepare for a recital. The word Academy represents our approach to dance education and our commitment to developing the whole child and not only the dancer, but the person they are becoming.

We want our dancers to understand what they are learning, why they are learning it, and how the lessons they experience through dance can carry into their everyday lives.

We intentionally teach:
* Dance vocabulary, technique, and artistry
*Critical thinking and problem-solving
*Grit, gratitude, grace, and generosity
*Confidence and self-worth
*Leadership, teamwork, and communication
*Goal setting, reflection, and personal growth

You'll see our dancers using workbooks, setting goals, attending professional performances, learning from guest teachers, serving in our community, exploring different styles of dance, and having conversations that go far beyond technique.

Academy means we are here to educate and not simply instruct.

Dance is the vehicle we use, but developing the whole child is at the heart of what we do. We want our dancers to leave Elements not only as stronger dancers, but as confident, capable, compassionate people prepared for life beyond the dance studio.
