Kevin, Geof, and Roger relocate the flagpole at the Crab Island Monument to be more visible from the lake.
The original 1903 100 ft flagpole at the south end of the Island is still standing, but is no longer functional.

Laying of the wreath at Crab Island today, 9/11/2024, by Navy veteran Kevin Kelley and Air force veteran Geoffrey Barker. These two men have been very instrumental in cleaning up Crab Island this year.

A new American Flag flies at Crab Island today in honor of the 150 men buried here from the Battle of Plattsburgh September 11, 1814.
Volunteers have the Island looking the best it has in years. A wreath will be placed at the monument later today.
