Jiu Jitsu is a long and difficult road. Many people look out the window of their busy lives, waiting for the right time to take a risk or pursue the thing they imagine themselves doing.
Jiu Jitsu is like a steep mountain. It will always be hard to climb. You will never be perfectly prepared to walk its trails. It demands that you dig deep and overcome self-doubt. It teaches that there is no perfect time to begin the climb—you will never be 100 percent ready—but now is the only time you are guaranteed.
The journey promises that the training will not be easy, but the vistas it offers are unparalleled.
Angela, thank you for your endurance, your courage, and your willingness to keep moving forward when the path became steep. I am proud to have you representing the team as a blue belt.
Now back to training.

One of the secrets to longevity in Jiu Jitsu is to train for the love of Jiu Jitsu itself. With that in mind, there is no one in the gym having more fun than these two. That isn’t to say the journey has been easy. Rather, they have learned to find joy in the difficulty.
Their path to progress and growth has been paved with laughter, hard work, and a genuine love for training. It has been a pleasure to watch your transformation from white to blue belt. Well done.
Now back to training. Oss!

Rob has shown up to train after long, demanding days on the farm. He never complains, never looks for shortcuts, and is always ready to learn.
I am proud to have shared this journey with him since white belt.
Jiu Jitsu is a long road, not a destination. Every promotion is not a finish line, but a reminder to keep walking the path.
Congratulations, Rob. Well earned.
Now back to training.

One of the greatest rewards of teaching Jiu Jitsu is watching students grow. You see them arrive on day one learning the fundamentals, and over time, through dedication and consistency, develop into skilled practitioners and confident individuals.
Promotions are more than a new color around the waist. They represent countless rounds, hard lessons, small victories, and the determination to keep showing up when things get difficult.
Congratulations to Wyatt on earning his purple belt—a significant milestone that reflects years of hard work and perseverance. Congratulations as well to Wyatt and Ty on their blue belt promotions. These achievements are well deserved, and I am proud of the effort both of you have put into your training.
Watching students progress is rewarding. Having the opportunity to recognize that progress is an honor.
See you on the mats. Oss!

Jiu Jitsu has many facets that can change your life. It builds confidence, teaches humility, improves fitness, sharpens problem-solving, and surrounds you with people who want to see each other succeed. Whether you come for self-defense, competition, or simply to become a better version of yourself, the lessons learned on the mats have a way of carrying over into everyday life.

Congratulations to Owen on earning his gray and white belt and to Crew on receiving his second stripe.
Both young men have been putting in the work, regularly attending fundamentals and regular classes while continuing to sharpen their skills. More recently, they have added our Sunday striking and conditioning class to their training schedule, showing a commitment to becoming well-rounded martial artists.
Progress comes from showing up and putting in the effort. Keep up the great work, boys. Now back to training. Oss!
