There’s probably more lore and romance around the deadlift than any other of the big lifts. It’s the heaviest. It’s the hardest. It’s tougher to finesse than the others. Any variation is just another look to the same pain and same process. And people generally give up or fail at the start.

Callous your hands and stiffen your resolve. Keep going.
•
There a lot of machismo and puffery out there about waking up early.
But it’s fundamentally correct.
Not so far that you end up limiting sleep, but definitely such that you can have a functional morning routine.
Get going.
Resolve to go outside more.
And I don’t mean “once the weather gets nice.” I mean regardless.
The sun shines on the snow and the grass alike.
And you need it to shine on you.
Experiment with what would happen if you just stuck to the fu***ng plan.
