Midwest TKD has hosted many black belt tests over the years, each one unique, with its own set of challenges and successes. A great memory is during covid we hosted one in the rain! Throwback Thursday......who remembers the bus and A+ After-school Enrichment at Midwest TKD! 🌞 We LOVED picking up the kids and Ms. Meghan was their favorite adventure leader!

Key benefits of Midwest's A+ Afterschool Program? Transportation from school, kids built and strengthened friendships, enjoyed indoor and outdoor fun, had time for homework, and experienced impactful character building activities through Tae Kwon Do, community service and fundraising projects. Our kids learned about themselves and the world around them in a fun and enriching atmosphere.

My favorite memory is when the kids rode the bus to the senior citizen home and read books to those that lived there....LOVE THIS!

Throwback Thursday!
Midwest Tae Kwon Do hosted the Michigan-Midwest Tae Kwon Do Championships for over 13 years! Originally held at Milan Middle School, the tournament grew and grew, changing venues from the Novi Expo Center to Macomb Community College to the PARC in downtown Plymouth. Over the years many of our students, parents and instructors helped set up and take down for the eventful day! The Detroit Tigers very own Paws was in attendance, and many bears were handed out to our youngest gold medalists. These were great times for sure, and we are so glad it is part of our dojang history. Were you there? If so, what are your memories of this yearly event? Do you have a pic with Paws?

At 5 years old he would run off the mat time and time again. Consistency and commitment with his parents and teachers over many years led to a leader in the gym. Our push-up master and assistant teacher Ryan brings a great deal of joy and confidence to all he does.

Stay the course. Even if it means slowing down. The benefits are unmatched in martial arts.
