Nashville Jr. Predators in Clarksville

Last Tuesday night in Clarksville, NJP partnered with Clarksville staff to host an interest skate for a NJP 10U ‘A’ Clarksville team for the 2026-27 season.

We are excited to continue building this group and working alongside the hockey staff to develop a local travel hockey option for families in the Clarksville community.

From “Rink Rat” to 12U AAA

Gordon Swiatek has been a rink rat from day one, spending countless hours at the rink watching his older brother on the ice and dreaming of following in his footsteps.

He started skating at just 4 years old, progressing through Learn to Skate programs in Chicago before continuing his development in house league hockey at .

His travel hockey journey began with the Preds Select 10U A1 team, and today we’re excited to celebrate his next step as a member of the 2026–27 Jr. Preds 12U AAA team!

Each season, we welcome out-of-area players pursuing the next step in their hockey journey. Our billet program connects these athletes with local host families who provide a safe, supportive home-away-from-home experience.

Being a billet family is about more than offering a room and meals — it’s an opportunity to build lasting relationships, share in unforgettable experiences, and make a meaningful impact on a young athlete’s development.

What hosting looks like:
✔️ Monthly stipend provided by the player
✔️ Player assists with basic household chores
✔️ Access to team and program events
✔️ A player who becomes part of your family’s daily rhythm

We are currently seeking billet families for the 2026–27 season.

From G.O.A.L. to her 5th season with the Nashville Jr. Predators!

Nashville Jr. Predators 19U Girls forward Gabby Ballinger first stepped on the ice in September 2015 through the Nashville Predators G.O.A.L. Program. Just five years old at the time, Gabby quickly fell in love with the game while building the fundamentals that would shape her development.

By the fall of 2018, Gabby elevated her competition level by joining house league hockey in Antioch.

Now entering her 5th season with the Jr. Preds, Gabby capped off the 2025-26 season by winning her third SE District Championship and is excited to continue building on that success in 2026-27.

Gabby’s journey is one of many examples of what can happen when athletes and families trust the process, stay patient, and avoid getting distracted along the way.

Excited to see where Gabby’s journey takes her next!
