Many life lessons are learned in dance class, and we make that a big focus at MPDC!
As teachers and alumni, many of us have had conversations with each other about how we’ve felt prepared for the rest of our lives thanks to dance. To go into careers with confidence, have babies and recover well, avoid injury as our bodies age, and have an emotional outlet we can always count on. The list is endless, but what remains consistent is that our alumni never regret their commitment!

MEET THE TEACHERS!!
Ellie is back teaching our Thursday tiny tots class
“I joined the MPDC family when I was 12 year old. My favorite dance styles have always been ballet, contemporary, and lyrical. I try to keep my dance memories alive by dancing any chance I get and dancing in empty studios where I can get lost in the music. For years I’ve choreographed dances for Highland Highschool Trouveres. During my time at MPDC, I danced the lead role of Alice in the production of Alice in Wonderland. Dancing at MPDC made a positive impact on how I grew up. It grew my confidence while helping me make long lasting friendships. I hope to help our dancers do the same and have lots of fun!! I am starting my 3rd year at Idaho State University, studying physical therapy. I am getting married September 1st to my best friend, Jackson Dahlstrom. I’m excited to meet all my little dancers!!

MEET THE TEACHERS!
Taylor has been dancing for a total of 15 years, starting at the age of 3 years old. This is her first year teaching, and she’s excited to begin learning the ropes as a co-teacher with Riegan. Taylor joined the MPDC family when she was 6 years old. She was also a member of the Pocatello High School Voltage dance team, which helped expand her dance expertise. Taylor’s most recent roles in MPDC shows have been Smee from Peter Pan, and the principal role as the mayor’s daughter in The Dance of Zoro. Taylor has always had a deep love for dance, and is excited to now share that love as a teacher. Taylor is now beginning her first year at ISU, majoring in radiology this fall.
