Region 8 WTSDA Official page of Region 8 of the WTSDA (World Tang Soo Do Association)

The WTSDA (World Tang Soo Do Association) is segmented into geographic regions to support regional activities that offer members opportunities to experience the camaraderie of our global family and enhance their training and development. Region 8 consists of WTSDA studios from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, Virginia, and Maryland. When the region was established in 1982, there were 18 studios/clubs, today there are more than 60 studios/clubs.

A new Judging certification event has just been announced! Location will be at Vaughn's Dojang in Audubon, PA. All participants have been invited by KCN Vaughn to participate in a black belt class afterwards as well. More details are on the Region 8 website.

Who is eligible?

Scorekeeper/Timekeepers much at at least 14 years of age and a Cho Dan Bo or higher. Or they may be at least 16 years of age and a 5th gup or above. Sk/Tk must take a written and practical examination to pass.

Corner Judges must be a certified sk/tk or have previously sk/tk in at least one sanctioned tournament; they must be a current Dan member and pass the written/practical exam.

Center Judges must be a Dan member, judged at 3 tournaments as a corner judge (not sk/tk), have a signed judging log, and pass the physical/written examination.

International Judges need to be Dan members, judge at 3 championships with a judging log; one of these three must be an international event. They also must pass the written and practical test.

Dan Testing will be on Saturday, September 26 at Oxford Area High School. Written tests will be on 9/8 from 5:30-7 pm and 9/10 from 7-8:30 pm. Tests will lock after this time frame. Ask your instructor for more information

Join us October 23–24, 2026 at Kalahari Resort in Pocono Manor, PA for an exciting weekend of competition, sportsmanship, and unforgettable memories. Whether you’re stepping onto the competition floor for the first time or you’re a seasoned competitor, we can’t wait to welcome you!

Registration Deadlines:
✅ Early Registration: September 27 – Register by this date to take advantage of the discounted registration fee!
