Man so true on so many levels. I always hear people talking about practice to become better at this game. When I ask how you practice it’s always about hitting mindless numbers of balls, putts etc. Never had anyone ever told me I plan on putting myself under as much stress as possible so I can hit shots under pressure. Let’s face it practice without pressure for a game that is filled with it won’t make you a good player. Dealing with the stress of making shots individually it the key to great success and worrying less. Thank you Mr. Penick for all the words of wisdom.

Such a good thought for golf. If you don’t think you have reached your best potential, start today. Have a different practice routine, hit the gym for the 1st time in a long time. Put the driver away and practice your short game. Anything to not fall into the same old, same old.

I subject that is very underrated. Most players would be better suited with a higher tee however not always. Play with it and experiment. Easy thing that can have a big effect.

Tempo is a cure for less than perfect mechanics. I have played with some people over the years that have had less than perfect swings but it was the same each time making same shot shape and way easier to know what was going to happen. Combine that with good putting makes that tough to beat. Make the best of what you have. Especially if you are playing for the kicks and giggles. Have more fun with the game, struggle less, it will make days on the course more enjoyable. Isn’t that the point of it all. Tempo, tempo, tempo.
