Ponca City Parks and Recreation will offer fall sunset kayak tours beginning in September. The tours will be held once a week for four weeks, giving participants the opportunity to experience the beauty of Lake Ponca in a whole new and exciting way this fall.
This is for ages 13+
Cost is $30
Age 50 and up the tour is free. You still must preregister at www.poncacityok.gov/parksandrec-registration or call the RecPlex at 580-767-0430

Join the RecPlex on September 19th for the Cluck, Oink, Moo 5K and then tasting some delicious BBQ at the Cherokee Strip Cook Off!

The chip-timed 5K will take place on the west side of Lake Ponca, starting near the flagpole. Enjoy a fun morning of running, beautiful scenery, and a great community event!

Enrollees will receive a race shirt and a test kit for the Cook Off.

In order to ensure a shirt on race day, enrollment had to be completed by September 6th. Register at www.poncacityok.gov/parksandrec-registration or call the RecPlex at 767-0430.

What a GREAT bunch of lifeguards! ☀️

We are so thankful for all of our lifeguards who helped make this summer both FUN and SAFE!

They took on 100+ degree days, a few rainy days, swim lessons, the 4th of July party at Wentz, and the challenge of keeping an eye on three separate pools throughout the summer!

Being a lifeguard is more than just a job. It’s about new friendships, responsibility, leadership, a nice tan, and putting up with a few ornery kids along the way!

Some of our lifeguards have been guarding for 6+ years, while for others, this was their very first season. No matter how long they’ve been with us, each one has made a difference, and we truly appreciate everything they do!

Thank you, lifeguards, for an amazing summer! We couldn’t do it without you!

The RecPlex, in conjunction with the POHI Volleyball program, is offering a youth volleyball league for girls in the 4th-7th grade. The league will be conducted with two weeks of fundamentals work in a clinic setting on Monday nights (October 12th & 19th), followed by 4 weeks of games on Tuesday nights (October 27th -November 17th).
