🖤 yesterday it was that for me…
A foundational prayer of the studio is always that it will be a safe haven for the women who enter it.
Whether it comes through connection with others in the room, an hour of escape and quietly working through class, or a million other little ways- the prayer is that this is a place that resets their hearts and minds & gives them a sense of peace while they’re here.
Those who know me know I’m just not a crier. Well, yesterday’s school drop-offs where the baby started kindergarten and I had to be creative with my goodbye hug so my oldest would still feel cool in public was enough to do it. We were all tear-free until Hunter and I pulled out of the parking lot and the emotions started to process. The best was when Hunter looked at me and said, “You teach class today, right? At 8:30?” Then followed up with “Hmm…” when I nodded implying I’d be teaching a class in about 10 minutes. He knows me well and even doubted for a moment I could pull it together.
Thankfully, it processed and I did manage to bring it in. But what was really meaningful was the realization that walking into class and specific people God put in the room near me did unspoken good for my heart and the studio provided for me what I pray it provides for all my friends who enter it. I stayed after class to read & take some time with my devotional and intentionally sit in the gratitude of the moment- both thankful for growing, healthy children whom I absolutely love getting to watch take on the world…but specifically how God had met my needs in a way I didn’t know I needed it with people and the space I shared for an hour.
Yesterday the studio was a safe haven for me. And I pray it’s that weekly for you, too. 🤍✨
