Some roads change your destination. The Hard Road changes your life.
Adventure has a way of reminding us who we are.
For many veterans and first responders, the uniform may come off, but the warrior mindset never truly leaves. The challenge is finding a new mission, a new team, and a renewed sense of purpose. Too often, isolation replaces brotherhood, routine replaces challenge, and purpose begins to fade.
The Hard Road Project was created to change that.
As an initiative of The Lazarus Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving veterans and first responders, our mission is simple:
Restore Purpose Through Adventure.
On June 19, 2027, we will depart on our inaugural cross-country expedition, bringing together veterans, first responders, and supporters for an unforgettable journey across America. This isn't just a motorcycle ride, it's a mission of healing, leadership, resilience, and brotherhood.
Adventure forces us outside our comfort zones. It demands adaptability, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Every mountain pass, every gravel road, every obstacle overcome reminds us that we are still capable of accomplishing difficult things and that purpose is often rediscovered one challenge at a time.
Whether you served in the military, wear a badge, answer the call as a firefighter or EMT, or simply believe in supporting those who have dedicated their lives to serving others, there is a place for you on this journey.
We're also looking for businesses, organizations, and individuals who believe in this mission. Your support helps provide opportunities for veterans and first responders to reconnect, heal, and rediscover purpose through adventure.
