Curves has partnered with WomenAgainstAlzheimer's to help unite women across the globe to find a cure for Alzheimer's. Their growing network of women is impatient with the slow progress being made in the Alzheimer's fight. Together, we are committed to ending current "business-as-usual" approaches to funding, research and advocacy. We want to bring Alzheimer's out of the shadows and into the spotlight. Because women won't wait.

When we think of the benefits of exercise and why we go to Curves to sweat it out during our full body workout, the first things that come to mind are probably cardio and strength. But an equally important component to a comprehensive exercise routine often gets pushed aside: stretching.
To better understand the importance of stretching, be sure to read this article from Curves' Inner Circle Blog.
The Truth about Sugar
When someone describes a meal as "a heart attack on a plate," what do you imagine? Steak and eggs with a side of fries, perhaps? You wouldn't be entirely wrong, but the more current picture might be a plate of donuts partnered with a 16-ounce regular soda.
Get educated about the effects of sugar on your health and well-being. Check out this article from Curves' Inner Circle Blog
Wouldn't a good stretch feel amazing right now? Not only does stretching feel great, it's a crucial part of a Curves workout. You always want to stretch muscles that are warm or just exercised. A warm muscle will be more pliable and will be less likely to get strained.
The Upper Body Stretch focuses on some of the most overlooked muscles when stretching. Stretch to the point of tension and hold. Hold each stretch for at least 15 seconds. Breathe deeply. Avoid bouncing or excessive pulling.
