Port Angeles Yacht Club Founded in 1937 to promote seamanship and camaraderie among individuals with similar interests.

Welcome to the Port Angeles Yacht Club, founded in 1937 to promote seamanship and camaraderie among individuals with similar interests. As a club we help support several local charities, furnish marine related scholarships to local high school students, help with several youth related sailing programs, and enjoy cruising, racing, and other social activities. Our membership is made up of cruisers, sailors, racers, and other boating enthusiasts all joined together in fellowship. We are a casual yacht club with both sailing and cruising members as well as non-boat owners. We hold Burger & Brew the 1st Friday of each month and a Dinner Meeting on the 3rd Friday of each month, and various other social events throughout the year. Some of our other activities include an annual predicted log race, planned cruises, sail boat races, and marine swap meet. We have reciprocal agreements with over 100 other Yacht Clubs which offer our cruising members reduced or free moorage and access for all our members to these other club’s amenities.

Welcome to all our new members who were formally announced as well.

Looking towards next month- our German club who meets regularly at the club Tuesdays at 1pm, is working on something special for us. We might learn German, we might try on Lederhosen, we have a history lesson. Who knows? It will be a fun surprise! One thing is for sure, we will have Oktoberfest b**r 🍺

At Happy Hour on 8/28, we will be playing BUNCO, 5:30-7:30

BUNCO is an easy to learn, fast-paced dice game mixed with a little bit of friendly competition and a lot of socializing.

Players rotate around tables of four players at each table, working with different partners each round, trying to score points by rolling a specific number on three dice. It’s simple, lively, and built for fun and laughter. In many ways, BUNCO feels like speed socializing with dice.

Invite your friends. It’s a good game for most ages. Bring a Happy Hour munchie to share. We had a lot of fun when we played BUNCO at the club last year.

2026 Fall Youth Sailing Race Team is now OPEN for registration! 🏆🌊

Whether your sailor is brand new to racing or already loves being on the water, this is a fantastic opportunity for ages 9–18 to learn to race, build confidence, make friends, and compete with youth sailors from across the Pacific Northwest.
