MEMBER MONDAY: ALEXA

Whenever she can make it, however she can make it — Alexa is making it.

Might be a solo mission. Might be with two baby boys in tow. But you can bet she’s going to find a way to get her 60 minutes in.

Beyond her consistency, Alexa is just an incredible person who has a way of making everyone she meets feel comfortable and welcome.

Coach Dan always jokes when a new member comes in and five minutes later Alexa is talking to them like they’ve been best friends for years:

“You guys know each other already, or are you just being you?”

That’s Alexa. She shows up for herself while making U60 a more welcoming place for everyone around her.

It is VERY important that you sign up for every class you plan to attend. Each class has a capacity limit, and once those spots are filled, they’re filled.

If a class is full, join the waitlist! If a spot opens and you’re moved into class, you’ll be notified by text or email.

And just as important as signing up: remove yourself if you can’t make it.

A no-cancel/no-show will result in a $5 fee. The fee isn’t about U60 collecting $5 — it’s about making sure everyone has a fair opportunity to get into class. If your plans change, just take a second to remove yourself so someone on the waitlist can take your spot.

Sign up. Cancel when you need to. Give someone else the opportunity to get their 60 minutes in.

And that is all that is required in class: YOUR best. This is U60 — 60 minutes to focus on you.

Yvonne shows up every day, brings a big smile through the front doors, and gives her best effort every single class.

“There have been plenty of mornings where 9 AM rolls around and I know I still have my own workout to do after classes — and no part of me wants to do it. Then I see Yvonne stroll through the front doors with a big smile on her face and put in her max effort in class. Any excuse I was trying to create for myself is immediately out the window. So thank you for showing up every day and inspiring me to give my best effort too!”

FAQ FRIDAY — Are U60 workouts the same every week?

No — and the changes aren’t random.

Our workout layout and timing change every 6 weeks, while the exercises change every 2 weeks.

We typically program in 3 phases:
Strength • Cardio • Stability

So when you go from lifting heavy weights for lower reps one week to walking in and seeing 3 banded stations the next… there’s a method to the madness.

Every phase has a purpose. We’re not changing things just to keep you on your toes — we’re changing them to keep your body progressing, challenge you in different ways, and build more than just strength.

Trust the process. There’s always a reason behind the workout.

Two similar banded movements, two different exercises.

For Tuesday’s Chest & Back workout, we’re going over the Banded Pallof Press.

For Wednesday’s Cardio & Core workout, we’re using the Banded Torso Rotation.

They may look similar at first, but the goal and movement are different. Here’s a quick breakdown so we don’t get the two confused when you see them on the screens this week.

BACK TO PODS FOR FRIDAY!

We’re wrapping up the week with the same Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps & Core focus, but switching up how we move through class.

We’ll kick things off with a bodyweight starter circuit before moving into 3 pods with 3 stations each. You’ll complete 2 sets at each station and 2 full rounds inside each pod before moving on to the next.

Once all 3 pods are finished, we’re not done yet — we’ll close it out with a bodyweight finisher circuit!

Starter ➜ 3 Pods ➜ Finisher. Let’s finish the week strong!

With 3 people able to work at each station instead of only 2, we’ve opened up a few more spots without changing the flow.

Same follow-the-leader order. Same setup. Just a little more room for you to get in.

And of course, we’ve got a banded circuit before AND after the stations for a full-on b***y crusher.

WEDNESDAYS ARE GETTING A NEW FORMAT!

Same Cardio & Core Wednesday, just a new way to move through the workout for the next few weeks.

You’ll follow the leader through all 12 stations, completing 2 working sets at each station with 10 seconds of rest between sets. Once both sets are complete, you’ll have 20 seconds to move to the next station and get ready to go again.

We’ll hit a water break at the halfway point, then get right back to work for Round 2.

And don’t get too comfortable when you finish round 2 — be ready for a finisher!

TUESDAYS ARE GETTING A NEW FORMAT!

Same Chest & Back workout you know on Tuesdays, just a new way to move through it for the next few weeks.

10 stations. Follow the leader. You’ll complete 2 sets at each station — 45 seconds of work / 20 seconds of rest — before moving together to the next station.

Once you make it through all 10, we reset and do it all again for 2 total rounds.

Same Chest & Back focus. New layout. See you Tuesday!
