Sobriety became a lifestyle, a habit. Now, exercise is a crucial part of my routine for mental health. It's my release when work gets stressful. Skipping it leaves me feeling less free throughout the day. The science behind it is cool – exercise releases the same feel-good chemicals as drugs, especially in a group setting with music.

Recovering from a health scare means staying vigilant. Listening to others talk about nutrition inspired a conscious change in diet, not for looks, but to feel better. Being around like-minded people pursuing a healthy lifestyle is what keeps me motivated.

The most dramatic change came with my echo readings showing significant improvement. I checked with my cardiologist multiple times about doing it 3 times a week, and as long as I felt fine, she said it was okay. It was a truly big shock to see such positive results.
