Due to cancellations for the June Advanced Maintenance Classes (AMC), we have a few limited openings!

Held in Anniston, Alabama, we currently have limited openings available for the following dates:
- June 16-18, 2026: 5 spots remaining
- June 19-21, 2026: 4 spots remaining

This is a great opportunity for those looking to deepen their knowledge and to gain hands-on experience! Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't hesitate to get signed up!

Tuition: $1,250.00
Rifle: $1,150.00
Total: $2,400.00

Please note:
Tuition payment is required to secure your seat in the class.
The rifle purchase will not be processed until day one of the class.

The CMP is saddened to learn of the passing of famed American marksman, Steve Reiter.

Reiter is a legend in bullseye pistol, earning several notable accomplishments throughout his long career, including:

- 34 overall National Championship titles
- 44 National Records
- Two-time winner of President's Pistol Match
- Two-time winner of the National Trophy Individual Match
- 10-time winner of the High Senior Pistol Trophy
- Five-time winner of the Citizens’ Military Pistol Trophy
- Two-time Free Pistol National Champion
- Distinguished Pistol Badge in 1972
- International Badge in 1973
- Distinguished Rifleman Badge in 1998
- .22 Rimfire Pistol Badge in 2016, at 74 years old
- the first Quadruple Distinguished Badge marksman in history

Reiter was also a member of the USA Olympic free pistol team in 1980 and is a former U.S. Army Reserve Team member.

In 2022, the CMP introduced the Reiter Cup National Champion Trophy – presented to the winner of the National Matches Match Pistol 2700 Any Sights National Champion.

"I had so many amazing times with him. He was such a great person to be around," said CMP Pistol Manager, Jim Henderson, who was close with Reiter. "We never had a single cross word with each other. We were just two positive forces moving towards a mutual goal – excellence in marksmanship."

"He is already missed very much," Henderson added.
