⛵️ Proud day for the PCYC Jr. Race Team! ⛵️

Today, three of our junior sailors — Lola Coan, Alex Bodager, and Ben Schramm — took part in their first “big boat” race, sailing aboard Kinsail in the 2026 Green Island Race!

Kinsail had a great day on the water, finishing 3rd in her division! 🏆

A very special thank you to Past Commodore Doug Blackburn and the entire Kinsail crew for inviting these young sailors aboard, showing them the ropes, and giving them such a memorable experience.

One of the great things about junior sailing is watching young sailors take the skills they’ve developed racing Optis and Lasers and see how those same fundamentals translate to a much bigger boat. Experiences like this give them a chance to learn new roles, work as part of a larger crew, and see just how far sailing can take them. Everyone had a great time, and we’re incredibly proud of Lola, Alex, and Ben!
