Spotlight on Katie K., one of our beloved, long-time DCC faculty members! 🌟

Tuesday nights in the fall are officially Katie’s time to shine! Having grown up dancing right here at DCC, she has been a cherished part of our studio family for years—and she has been sharing her passion with our dancers as an instructor for over a decade.

This season, Miss Katie K. will be leading our beginner-friendly Ballet (Ages 9–11), Tap (Ages 7–9), and Jazz (Ages 7–9) classes. Katie is a true sweet soul—nurturing, patient, and deeply encouraging. She creates an ultra-welcoming space where dancers can explore movement, build confidence at their own pace, and fall in love with dance. 🩰✨

Classes have officially kicked off and Miss Katie’s first Tuesday session starts September 22!

Don't miss out on the chance to see Bluewater Dance Theatre's 2026 showcase this weekend. Bluewater Dance Theatre is a summer program run by our very own Brandon Harneck.

Act 1 will be the story ballet Alice in Wonderland. Act 2 includes 5 contemporary pieces by Brandon, plus 3 student choreographed works. In the lobby before each show, there will also be AMAZING raffle baskets to win.

Spotlight on Alexis, a brand-new addition to our DCC teaching team! Alexis will be teaching our Hip Hop class for ages 4–7 every Tuesday from 5:00–5:30 PM. 👟✨

Alexis actually grew up dancing right here at DCC, so watching her step into the classroom as an instructor brings everything full circle! She brings so much fresh passion and excitement to our studio, and we can’t wait for our young dancers to move, groove, and build confidence in her class. We are so lucky to have her on team DCC!

Spotlight on Accelerated Tap, the ideal stepping-stone for dancers ready to level up their footwork! 🩰✨

Designed for dancers ages 9+, this 30-minute class focuses on improving articulation, clarity, rhythm, and speed. It provides a fast-paced environment for intermediate dancers looking to advance their technique, while also serving as a great entry point for teens starting out who want to jump into tap and learn the basics quickly.
