Our annual Orange and Black swim meet and fundraiser were huge hits! Congrats to the Orange Team for their win, but the Black Team showed impressive results in both areas.

The annual Black and Orange Car Wash is tomorrow! The Black Team will be at Politis and Matovina and the Orange Team will be at Ritters. 10:30am-2:00pm. Come out and support Spruce Creek Swimming!

The Spruce Creek Swim Team had a great morning with the foster kids yesterday! They all look forward for the next two Saturdays of swimming lessons!!!

The 5K Charity swim has a $20 entry fee, just like 5K runs have entry fees. Our first goal is to raise $1000 donation to the Y for their swim lessons scholarship fund for needy children. It is important to help children in our community learn to swim. This is a significant outreach for our team. Any money raised over the $1000 will go towards our team expenses.

We hope you support our 5K Charity Swim that will help our swim team raise $1000 for the Port Orange Y swim lessons scholarship program for needy families and also additional funds for our rental fee to practice at the Y.

We will be swimming 5000 yards on September 30 within a two-hour window. This is roughly equivalent to running a half marathon. I am doing this because I enjoy swimming for Spruce Creek, and I know that swimming helps me achieve excellence both in the pool and at school.

The team goal for this event is $7000, so every donation counts! We accept cash or checks too, if you use the online donation please add the swimmer's name so we can make sure they all get the credit!

The Creek swimmers who worked with the foster children did an amazing job. This is the third year that we have given swim lessons to them. The children have always progressed in the pool, but this year was outstanding, with almost every child becoming comfortable in the pool, most learning to swim, and quite a few swimming 25 yards. One learned bilateral breathing today! And everyone had fun!
