Northwest Independence Shootout

Please read entire post!! But there is some changes happening for 2025!

Want to start out by thanking all the racers who have supported this event for well over 10 years now. It grew from a 1 day event with 20 cars to 3 days of racing and paying out north of $50k total the last few years!

With that being said us with Sears Family Racing is stepping back and will not be running the Northwest Independence Shootout for 2025. There is alot of variables to reasons why we made this hard decision. We are not stepping away totally though! There is a change to what's happening and we will still be assisting in 4 big money events that will be happening at Bremerton Raceway in 2025.

Jeremy has been in talks with a few other racers along with Bremerton Raceway and we have come up with a 4 race series throughout the season on a Saturday that will be a Box/No Box day. With double entries allowed with goals of paying 3k or more to Win in each class. Along with a points series with paying the top 3 points finishers. Goal is $2000 to win, $1000 r/u with 3rd Paying $500. It will cost no money to enter the points series yet those days will cost more to enter and we negotiated with the track of a cash entry and a cash payout!

Jeremy will post more about entries and rules as we get them totally lined out. But below will be the dates we are planning on having these "Bremerton Big Bucks Race" on. Also there will be a normal Bremerton points race on Sunday as well and everyone knows Bremerton is the highest paying track for a standard points race win!

Us at Sears Family Racing will work with Bremerton Raceway and few other racers to make these events happen and pay good money out. Also a bonus we will be racing as well at these events!!

We will be contacting all our existing sponsors as well as potential new sponsors! Names will be announced on 4 separate weekends instead of just one full weekend!

Again we thank everyone for their support over the years and hope everyone supports this series of events and we can grow it each weekend and make it a regular series each season!

Friday is in the books for the Northwest Independence Shootout!! It was a beautiful day out and had some great racing!!

Saturday time runs have begun, registration is open at the back of the staging lanes!

Day 1 of the Northwest Independence Shootout !!

Gates are open, cars are rolling in!!

Registration is in the back of the lanes under the ez ups. You will enter for the weekend there as well as 1st round runner ups you will go see the Sears Family to buyback into the race!

Drivers meeting will be at 945am at the base of the tower!

Well here we are week of the big race!! Below you will find info about what will be going on throughout the weekend!!

Thursday - Parking and highly encourage to come see Sears Family (we will be in the culdesac taking entries) to beat the lines on Friday morning to get entered for the weekend of racing.

Friday - We will be set up down by the staging lanes to get registered for the weekend. You will also come to the same area to buyback in if you lose round 1! Remember there will be NO buyback round. So you will roll right into 2nd round.

There will be 2 time runs on Friday then go into eliminations.

Saturday - There will be 1 Time Run then go into eliminations. Again buybacks will roll right into round 2 . We will be in same location to get registered and buyback all weekend.

Sunday - there will be NEW ENTRY ONLY Time Run. So for people who have not gone down the track at all on the weekend yet will get 1 run. Everyone else will be a dial and go. Buybacks if lose rnd 1.

Early rounds will be plenty of time in between rounds. On Friday we may call some time only later in the day to fill in some. But we will give adequate time for cooling off. We will shoot for a 10 to 15 minute cool down time then will be called back down. So if doubling and late in the rounds we will do our best to give time.

There will be live music Saturday night up by the Culdesac starting roughly around when racing ends. Make sure to come down and check out The Jimmy Hoffman band as they are an awesome band!!

If anyone has questions reach out on here. We will be there little earlier in the day Thursday and do our best to help people get parked as the track wants to honor people's payed spots. But up against the tree line in the grass is free game for parking.

Here we go!! Friday July 5th, Saturday July 6th, Sunday July 7th are just shy of a few months away from a fun weekend packed full of racing!! Below you will find this year's Flyer for the Northwest Independence Shootout!! There are a few changes amd I will explain those below as well!

First off there will be NO JR's this year the weekend of this event. The Boardway family and Stainless Brain Fabrication are setting up an event for the JRs big bucks race on another weekend. So that is going to save us alot of time on the weekend and hopefully the weather cooperates as well!!

The gate fees did go up $5 a day to pay the track for tech card. Our fees to enter the race have not changed at all. We are still 100% cash in and 100% cash payout out!!

We did change it this year to being able to double enter all weekend!! So you are able to double Friday, Saturday and Sunday this year. So lots of opportunities to go down the track.

Buybacks will roll directly into 2nd round as there will be no buyback rounds! We will Run Footbrake A Top Bulb A then FootBrake B, Top Bulb B as a rotation and as rnds get going will give adequate time for cooling down as needed and time permitting on the day.

Also we will be having a kickass band playing Saturday night for all you racers to hangout have some beverages and enjoy some great live music!!

Going to be a fun weekend like always and can't wait to hand over stacks of cash, big checks and some badass one off trophies like we have every year!

I apologize that haven't got going on posting about the Northwest Independence Shootout as of yet. Life has been busy but you will be seeing alot of posts coming!!

First we start off by it will be happening July 5th, 6th and 7th this year. And hopefully that makes it easier for people to get time off as the 4th is a Thursday this year.

I will be reaching out to past sponsors of this event to see if you are still interested in sponsoring 2024 event. As well as if anyone else would like to come on board for the 2024 season it would be awesome to make the payout that much more this year!

But keep an eye out for a flyer to be posted soon as well as more details of this event as I know alot of you put it on your race calendar every year and we greatly appreciate the support over the years!!!

Gates will be open for parking tomorrow/Thursday 4pm!! If got questions about open spits ask Gail at the gate and she can help point you in the right direction!

Registration/Buybacks will be down by the staging lanes this year! If you do come park Thursday evening you can come to the Sears Family pit (The Culdesac) and beat the Friday morning rush and get your Registration done for the weekend!!

Event shirts will also be sold right next to Registration in the lanes! Sizes are limited so make sure to get your shirt ASAP! 2023 event shirts will be $20. We still have some leftovers from last year an those will be $10 while sizes are available!

Sunday will be the same as Saturday! But there will be no time runs for Footbrake or Top Bulb Sunday. Roll right into round 1 in the morning!

Buybacks will roll directly into 2nd round. The buyback table will be right next to the lanes where registration will be also.
