Interscholastic Sports Officials Needed!
Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Wrestling, Soccer, and Lacrosse ALL have high demand for officials for school athletics and other youth levels. Games are being cancelled and rescheduled regularly accross the nation, help us give the kids their chance to play the games we have been able to enjoy already.

All games are paid within a few days for school assignments while non-school assignments vary by group.

Can get help for gear and uniform costs. Military and ex-military can qualify for a Battlefields to Ballfields program that covers most all of their gear and uniform costs of their first sport.

Baseball umpires had an opportunity on Saturday to get on the field for some scrimmage baseball.

If anyone is interested in earning some money and helping us provide these opportunities for the youth of our community, we still have opportunities with baseball and softball as well as Middle School football and soccer. There will also be youth leagues and tournaments starting soon.

Basketball 2022 is going strong!!! We have a healthy young group of officials working hard and learning the game. We continue to teach officials to be fair, promote safe and healthy environments for competitors and officials, and to call to the rules and best interest of fair and educational play.

Sports are on the Horizon

Officiating games at the youth and school levels in your area. Football, baseball, boys and girls basketball, fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball, soccer, lacrosse, wrestling and more. Games from South Kitsap to Kingston and out to Bainbridge. Can also find games around the state or other local areas like Seattle, Gig Harbor, tacoma, if you work in those areas and live in another area.

School sports require a background check. Requirements are also to be met in rules knowledge and there are certain dues to cover books and other registrations.

Most school games now pay as requested so can take pay weekly, bi-weekly, monthly etc. Or you can save it all and use it for a large payment or vacation as many have done. Games are in afternoons, evenings, and weekends so can put in as little or as much time as you want to work when not working your main job.

Sometimes uniforms and gear is available from donations by members who have retired or left for other life issues.

There are steps being taken to help with Covid concerns, feel free to ask. Football is set to start end of February with winter and Spring sports that pass restriction tests to follow. Masks are required currently so please keep this in mind.

As a sports official for over 25 years, I can say it is a rewarding community service and allows the kids in the community a chance to play the sports they love. And it pays! Have to be able to deal with pressure and be able to diffuse situations.
