Europe has bet its future on the proposition that the huge and growing Muslim population it continues to bring into the continent will become loyal citizens of pluralistic societies. There is absolutely no foundation for this hope in Islamic theology or Islamic history. European authorities should be learning a lesson from these riots in Molenbeek after Abdeslam’s arrest, and the fact that he was hidden there for so long and no one tipped off authorities. But they won’t.
