Are you Type 2 Diabetic? Do you ever wonder how you should be eating? Do you think you are eating the proper way? Here are some of the best foods for those of us with Type 2 Diabetes.

Focus on whole foods, lean proteins, healthy fats, and fiber. Both eating more of a Mediterranean diet or plant-based (Vegetarian) choices help with improving blood sugar and heart health. Choose non-starchy vegetable (stay away from potatoes), whole grains, fruits, beans(black or pinto are good), nuts, fish(Salmon or Tuna but not from a can), and low-fat dairy are all great for protein, but stay away from soda, processed foods, refined carbs (white bread, pasta), and unhealthy fats. Portion control and eating meals at consistent times are the best way of eating properly and maintaining weight and blood sugar control. If you are looking to drop a few pounds, do it slowly by lowering your calories. Being diabetic, we can not just not eat. You need to eat, just eat less calories each time you do eat, focusing more on protein, but remember we do still need our vegetables.

Hey guys, while other gyms are lowering their prices to get high volume traffic in, we are not. We are looking for quality versus quantity. That said, with being a smaller gym, we are a more personable location that knows you by your name, not just a number on our screen. We have had a few success stories already here. One hitting a personal best on bench press and is now set a new goal for this year. Another has committed to living a healthier lifestyle that we promote, and has lost almost 20lbs.

Hey guys, feelings on classes yes or no. I know we have asked this before, but need to gauge the amount of people that would be in them We would need a min. of 3 per class to hold the class. Also, don't forget that we are still having our Membership Specials running for this week. Also don't forget to pick up you Personal Training packs as well as Gift Cards. Both are great for Christmas gift. Come in and see us and we can get you taken care of.

Quick update. Silver Sneakers will be coming soon. Looking at sometime next week. The contract is signed on our part, just waiting to be approved on their end. Stay tuned and we will let you know when we are approved and can accept the Silver Sneakers program.

Good morning everyone. Turkey Day is getting closer as we sit here. Are you contemplating your day of recovery after eating all of that great food? Guess what, we are open the next day, Black Friday. Do your shopping on Amazon like everyone does these days, then come in and see us and get a good workout in. Don't forget to call or stop in and see our Black Friday membership specials running until December 1st.
