Kovach Fishing Charters

I actually took a couple pictures of the clients' fish before they were on the fillet table! Lol. Today's clients wanted to target larger fish, so that's what we did and we were rewarded with good action all morning. We missed a few more kings due to cut-offs and caught a few short muttons on the bottom. We ended up with a "holy mackerel" (Get it? With holes from the hooks and gaff? 🤪) and a couple phins.

Today's fillet table and a pretty cool looking storm that we had to wait out.

It has been a little while since my last post. I'm not superstitious because that is bad luck lol but it seemed like everytime I got my phone out or wore my gopro something unlucky happened with a nice fish so I stopped worrying about pictures for the sake of landing fish. So here is the ol' fillet table from today. For size reference the jumbo bee-liner in the top left was a little over 22".

What an amazing week. Awesome fishing, awesome clients and great weather. It doesn't get much better than that.

The fishing has been good the past couple days. Hopefully this weather keeps cooperating.

Today we went 1 for 3 on sailfish and put together a nice mixed bag for a few dinners.

Well the weather sucked this morning but my clients came prepared with their rain ponchos and the fish were on fire. The weather certainly didn't seem to faze the fish, probably because they are already wet 🤪.

Today's clients wanted to catch tasty fish so we went looking for tasty fish. The baits from did a great job and once we got on the spot it was game on.

Beautiful morning offshore this morning. It felt good to get out there since it has been a little while with these winds. The bottom bite was good and provided some colorful species that we don't catch very often. Along with some delicous snapper for dinner.

The fishing this morning was tough. However we were able to piece together a mixed bag for my clients dinner, didn't get stormed on and had fun so I would consider that a success.
