15 years ago this group competed in home made costumes, cafeteria practices, parent shuttles, and took home 2nd Overall and from then on the competition world new our name!

The year before that I created the name, the program and it became so big. With over 42 students dedicated to dance which was included into their after school program.
I grew, it grew. I spent that whole summer traveling to all the different schools for BAGC and taught dance to each one of them and brought them together for one huge show In the summer. For that, I will always cherish my time spent with BAGC and I appreciate the program they allowed me to create and forever grateful.

This program became more then I ever dreamed. Leaving it was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made but it forced me to create what I always wanted and that was my own company.

This group, these beautiful kids, we have and had such an incredible bond i will cherish forever. You are and will forever be (next to my covid babies) my reason for continuing for as long as I can, my go to when it seems to hard or unattainable.

16 years ago today my life got turned upside down. I've been low but I was the lowest I have ever been my entire life. I fell down such a deep dark hole, I gave up on everything and everyone and most of all myself. Dance has been my therapy. Its been my way of expressing my emotions the healthiest way for as long as I can remember. I created my company through an after school program and it grew huge up to 45 kids 30 girls and 15 boys. One day it was all taken away from me in the matter of seconds for no good reason at all. Those kids meant everything to me and this situation devasted a lot of families. For months I questioned everything, for months I disappeared. I was shattered completely broken. Then one little girl and her mom reached out to me and it was then I realized I could fight for what I want and I did just that. I got up on my feet talked to companies rented out facilities. have been tossed around and had every obstacle thrown at me for the last 16 years. I was renting from a place and one day out of the blue they shut down! So it pushed me to open my own company. Because of where it was it never built up and I had to relocate. Once again renting within another company and that didn't work so we relocated again. It was then everything changed. I built up! I built out of my space and rented another unit within that space along with the unit I had. Everything was thriving then ONCE again s**t hits the fan. A new landlord takes over and wants the space I am in and since my lease was ending they kicked me out and took my space over! This forced me to move to where I am now. THIS PLACE.. my home... had grown and grown and grown! We have beat covid, we have beaten the hardest times and have been through so much I cannot even name it all. I have proven that D4l is stronger but have been shown we are stronger together. Today I was reminded where I started but also how far I have come and for that no matter what the the future holds I am and will forever be grateful. I didn't just build a studio..... i built a second home. I built a family. I built friendships that will last a lifetime and that is better than any trophy on my shelf.
