It was a good weekend of fishing with the Ohio crew! We are still catching mostly coho salmon but starting to see more of a mix catch with steelhead and king salmon.

Fishing should stay good the next few weeks. Open June mornings: 6/21, 6/23, 6/24, 6/25, 6/29.

The coho salmon are here and biting! Our last few trips resulted in everyone catching their limit including myself. This is the time to stock your freezer with Lake Michigan’s finest. We have plenty of openings for anyone wanting to get their share!

Couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season! The boat ran great and the fish were biting! Brown trout fishing is excellent right now and the coho salmon will be here shortly. Should be a great 2026 Lake Michigan season!

That’s a wrap on another great ice season! This was an incredible year for excellent ice conditions and fishing. Just about every trip to the reef resulted in limit catches of whitefish. Highlight of the season was catching a large lake sturgeon! Unfortunately he was too large for the hole but was unhooked and released.

Also appreciate everyone who came out ice fishing with us! Now it’s time to get the boat ready for early season brown trout!

Salmon fishing is as good as it gets right now! We have next Saturday 10/11 open for anyone looking to stock their freezer!

Summer might be over but that doesn't mean fishing is! The offshore bite has been excellent the last few weeks and should continue into October. Yesterday we had nice catches of king salmon and steelhead.

We will keep fishing into November as long as the weather allows. Once the water temperature cools we will target brown trout closer to shore. Typically, this is a really good bite that doesn't get much fishing pressure.

Also want to say thank you to everyone who fished with us this summer! Can't say enough how enjoyable it is fishing with the same groups every year and catching a few fish!

Nice weekend on the water despite the breezy conditions! August has been a challenge with the weather but king salmon fishing has been good and offshore steelhead fishing has been excellent. The kings are running a little smaller this year but they are better eating quality fish.

Next week we will head over to Lake Erie for some Erie gold (perch)! Open dates for the remaining Lake Michigan salmon season are 9/28, 10/4, 10/5, 10/11, 10/12, 10/18, 10/19.

Fishing has been a grind lately but we got em tonight! Great late evening king salmon bite.
