One of the best things about being part of the Pirate family is the way we show up for one another, especially when someone in our community is going through a difficult time.
We would like to take a moment to support the Karzas family. Lance and Tammy Karzas have been longtime supporters of our athletic programs, and their family has always been willing to lend a hand. Lance has helped coach in the past and has spent countless games helping with chains, running the camera, and simply being part of our football community. Tammy and their daughter, Alexa, have also regularly volunteered at our concession stand.
Lance has been facing a difficult cancer journey. While his cancer did not respond to chemotherapy, he has recently started an oral medication that has shown very encouraging responses for his type of cancer. We are continuing to keep Lance and the entire Karzas family in our thoughts and are hopeful for continued positive news.
The Karzas family has supported our Pirate community in so many ways over the years. Now, we have an opportunity to return that support and let them know that their Pirate family is here for them.
Please mark your calendars for November 14th and come out to support. Most importantly, please keep Lance, Tammy, John, Alexa, and their entire family in your thoughts.
