Gunnar, sem er 17 ára, hefur vakið mikla athygli í Bandaríkjunum á undanförnum mánuðum þar sem hann var bæði valinn í úrvalslið menntaskóla um gjörvöll Bandaríkin sem og menntaskólaleikmaður ársins í Michigan-fylki! Gunnar mun ganga til liðs við KR næsta sumar að námi loknu í Bandaríkjunum.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Gunnar Thorhallsson has been named a 2025 United Soccer Coaches Fall High School All-American! This honor recognizes the top high-school players in the nation. Gunnar is only the second player in Portage Central program history to earn this prestigious distinction.

We will raise the Division 1 State Championship Banner for your Portage Central Men’s Soccer Team into the gymnasium rafters. The banner will forever honor the undefeated squad that delivered the program's first State Title! 🏆🐴⚽️

🏅 Honorable Mention All-Conference 2025 🏅

Congratulations to Senior Jayce Handley, recognized with Honorable Mention All-Conference honors!

A clutch performer and fearless competitor, Jayce delivered one of the defining moments of this historic season by stepping up in the State Final shootout and burying the game-winning PK to secure Portage Central’s first Division 1 State Championship. 🏆

Beyond that highlight, Jayce’s creativity, strength on the ball, and tireless work rate made him a constant threat all year long, a true difference maker when it mattered most.

A well-earned honor for a player who rose to the biggest moments. 🐴⚽️

🏅 Honorable Mention All-Conference 2025 🏅

Congratulations to Senior Olin Rohrstaff, recognized with Honorable Mention All-Conference honors!

A true team-first player, Olin opened the season as a key contributor in the midfield and later shifted to lockdown left back, always willing to step into whatever role best supported the team’s success. An unsung hero of this championship run who brought toughness, composure, and relentless effort every single match.

As a testament to his athleticism and competitive spirit, Olin also kicked for the PC football team, earning the rare accomplishment of reaching the state semifinals in two fall sports. 🏈⚽️

A well deserved honor for a leader who always put the Mustangs first.
