My amazing Tahoe crew surprised me with this beautiful 3D map of Lake Tahoe, complete with pins marking the places we paddled together this summer. And the sweetest part? They included extra pins for future adventures! 🏄‍♀️

Every pin represents a memory, a shared adventure, and friendships I treasure.

Some gifts leave you speechless. This was one of them. 💙

This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to share Lake Tahoe with a fabulous group of friends. We paddled breathtaking waters, explored beautiful places, laughed, made memories, and shared an adventure I’ll never forget.

And then they surprised me with this. 🥹

A beautiful 3D map of Lake Tahoe, complete with pins marking the places we paddled together. As if that wasn’t thoughtful enough, they included extra pins for the adventures still ahead of us.

I am genuinely overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of this gift.

Every pin represents more than a location. It represents a memory, a moment, a shared experience, and the wonderful people who made it special.

I’ve always believed that paddling is about so much more than being on the water. It’s about the connections we make, the friendships we build, and the memories we carry long after we’ve returned to shore.

The best part of an adventure isn’t always where you go. Sometimes it’s who you share it with.

When you finish a book and feel genuinely disappointed that it’s OVER!

I had the pleasure of meeting author Winter Hansen at USA SUP Nationals in Gig Harbor. During our conversation, she mentioned that her book, What the Sea Keeps, was coming out in just two days.

A few days later, I downloaded the audiobook.

And WOW. Just WOW!

Winter has an extraordinary imagination. She blends the hardships and realities of life with a fantasy world that completely pulls you in. Her writing reminds me of David Baldacci’s Vega Jane series, which I absolutely loved.

But here’s what really impressed me: I was invested from the very beginning. No slow buildup. No waiting to connect with the characters. Winter creates people you care about and root for almost instantly.

And the audiobook narration? PERFECTION! The narrators bring her world to life so vividly that I felt like I was right there experiencing the hardships, struggles, and triumphs alongside the characters.

I have this incredible vision of Nerissa in my mind, and I NEED to know what happens next!

Winter, PLEASE tell me there’s a sequel coming!

Seriously, I wasn’t finished with this adventure when the book ended.

I WANT MORE!

You don’t have to figure out cooler-season paddling on your own.

Discover beautiful seasonal paddle spots with an experienced SUP instructor, learn how to prepare and what to wear, and enjoy the company of a small, supportive group.

You’ll leave with more than a lovely day on the water—you’ll build knowledge and confidence to extend your paddle season.

I assess the location, plan the route, share preparation guidance, and bring the picnic. You bring your sense of adventure. 💙

SUP The Map Guided Paddles
• Saturdays in the Portland and Eugene areas
• Minimum two hours of guided paddling
• Picnic snack box included
• Four to six guests
• Board and paddle available for an additional $25 per outing

Appropriate immersion gear and a life jacket are required. Outings depend on suitable conditions.

This one’s a little longer… but how do you cram 7 days of paddling into 9 minutes?! 💙🏄‍♀️

Come along for our 2026 Lake Tahoe SUP Escape—from the crystal-clear waters of Cold Springs to Upper and Lower Echo Lakes, and, of course, the incredible turquoise waters of Lake Tahoe.

One of the biggest surprises of the trip? Upper Echo Lake. It takes a little extra effort to get your board on the water, but it is SO worth it. Paddling through the islands and into the beauty of Desolation Wilderness was one of those experiences that’s hard to put into words.

And because no SUP Escape is complete without a whole lot of laughter… stay for the bloopers. 😂 Let’s just say Shelia made sure we had plenty.

Time to get caught up… 🌊☕️

Apparently spending the summer having SUP adventures leaves very little time for posting about them. 😂

I’m officially a couple months behind over here… so don’t be confused when we suddenly time-travel back to July.

Tahoe. Cold Springs. Upper Echo. Lower Echo. Waldo Lake. Paulina Lake. Elk Lake. Crescent Lake. SUP Escapes. Paddles. Sunrises. Good food. Great people. And a whole lot of moments I haven’t shared yet.

I capped it all off spending Labor Day weekend SUP surfing at the coast and learning the fun of boogie boarding— because clearly the solution to being behind on content is to go create more content. 🤷‍♀️🌊

So grab your coffee… the PNW SUP Co. summer adventure rewind starts now.
