Save this for the next time one message sends you into an overthinking spiral.

The full stop. The shorter reply. The fact that he said “yeah” instead of “yeahh.” Suddenly, you’re rereading the same message, analysing every word, and trying to work out what it means about how he feels about you.

But has anything new actually happened? Or are you hoping that reading it one more time will finally make you feel certain?

There’s a difference between looking for information and looking for reassurance. And sometimes, no amount of analysing will give you the certainty you’re after. If something genuinely feels off, you can ask about it. You can communicate what you need. You don’t have to solve it by yourself through a text message.

Next time you feel the urge to reread, pause and ask yourself:
Am I trying to understand something, or am I trying to make the uncertainty go away? You can feel uncertain without needing to do something about it immediately.

You have now read the text twelve times. It has not changed. And yet, here you are, checking it again to see if you missed something.

When a reply takes longer than expected, your mind can get busy filling in the blanks. Your nervous system may be looking for certainty, so checking your phone or replaying the conversation starts to feel urgent.

Pause, breathe, observe, and proceed.

Ask yourself what you need right now, not what he needs and how to fix it.

If this pattern keeps showing up in your relationships and you want help understanding it, comment CONSULTATION to learn about a free private conversation with me.

If you’re trying to make sense of a relationship dynamic and want support with your own needs and patterns, comment CONSULTATION below. I would love to talk with you about how I may be able to help.

Sometimes someone can want a relationship and still pull away when closeness grows. That might look like focusing on their partner’s flaws, feeling protective of their independence, shutting down during a difficult conversation, or finding it easier to leave than explain what they need.

Avoidant attachment can be one way to understand these patterns, but everyone’s experience is different.

You notice every change in his tone. You remember which messages he answered and which ones he didn’t. You’re trying to work out whether he’s losing interest. Meanwhile, have you stopped to ask yourself how you actually feel in this relationship?

Do you feel comfortable expressing what you need? Can you trust what he tells you? Are you spending more time trying to keep him interested than figuring out whether you like the relationship you’re in?

That matters, too.

Save this for the next time you catch yourself trying to work out where you stand.

Okay, real talk! The anxious and avoidant loop is exhausting, and I’ve been on both ends of that “why did they go quiet” spiral. You pull closer, they pull back, and now you’re isolated, lonely, and disconnected.

Here’s what actually helped me: I stopped trying to fix the other person’s reaction and started paying attention to what my body does when I feel that distance. The tight chest. The urge to over-explain. The urge to ask for reassurance.

If you’re tired of living in this pattern and want someone in your corner while you work on your side of it, comment CONSULTATION and I’ll send you the details and see if I can apply my methods to your situation.

Save this for the next time you’re deep in the loop.

If this breakup is wrecking you physically, you’re not being dramatic. With anxious attachment, losing someone can register in your body as losing your main source of safety. That’s why you can’t eat, can’t sleep, and have checked their profile 40 times today.

What actually helps in the first few weeks:

1. Mute or archive them for 30 days. Every look at their page reopens the wound.
2. Write the long text in your notes app. Send it to no one.
3. Eat something and go outside before you try to figure out what went wrong. You think worse on an empty stomach.
4. Grieve the future you were planning, not just the person. That’s usually the bigger loss.
5. Tell one real person the whole story. Not the group chat. One person! If you’re in the middle of it and want support, comment CONSULTATION and I’ll send you the details to book a call. And if you just need to tell it to someone who understands how this works, DM me your story.

You can know he’s inconsistent and still feel a rush of relief when he finally texts. That moment when your chest unclenches and you can get on with your day again.

If you’ve been wondering why you keep getting pulled toward men who leave you questioning where you stand, I want to explore that pattern with you.

I’m preparing a free workshop on self worth for women who are ready to understand why this keeps happening.

Comment SELF WORTH if you want to join! I would love to have you.

Does a change in his texting, tone, or energy send you into a spiral? When you have anxious attachment, uncertainty can make you search for reassurance and try to work out exactly where you stand.

In this Reel, Haile shares seven steps to begin healing anxious attachment, from recognising your triggers and regulating your body to meeting your needs and building self trust.

One question to start practising: “Do I actually feel good in this relationship?”

You can know why he pulls away. You can understand why vulnerability is hard for him. You can have compassion for what shaped his pattern. And still ask:
“Is this relationship working for me?”

I think a lot of women get so good at understanding the person they’re dating that they stop listening to themselves. You don’t need to stop caring about his experience. Start paying attention to yours too!

Save this for the next time you catch yourself explaining his behavior while ignoring your own needs.
