We all say it- I’ll do it next week, I don’t have the money right now, I’ll wait for when I loose 20 lbs, for when it’s sunny, for when I feel like it...
And how often do we end up months- even years later, stuck in the same freaking spot, wishing just wishing we had just taken action
The perfect time doesn’t exist
Just START!

I see a certain life for myself

I’m not going to stop until I get it
And I’m gonna go after it like my life depends on it

Side note, if your shoes are from the kids department, your shorts are from forever 21, and your shirt has a flying unicorn on it you might be in denial that you’ll be 38 in a few days lol 🌈⚡️🌟🦄

The more extreme the approach, the less sustainable the results
In 7 years of lifting I have never
Worked out more than 4-5 days a week
Cut out complete food groups or followed a fad diet
Done more than 20-30 minutes or so of cardio
Measured my food on a scale
Resorted to other extreme measures such as detoxes or fat burners
⚡️What I have done is created consistency with healing foods I enjoy, science backed workouts to train smarter not harder, and most importantly focused on the progress and process of loving my body, mind, and spirit
If you follow my stories you know I’ve had a small hiatus in lifting lately for about 3876 reasons
But it aint no thang because to me fitness is not a sprint with a finish line, it’s just my lifestyle day in and day out.
And I’m very very thankful to have created that 🌈

I use to be her 💛
The girl spending endless minutes on the elliptical, literally hiding in the cardio area, terrified of the weigh room, and yes, frustrated to tears with seeing no results...
Today I can walk into the gym- ANY gym- and sashay into a male dominated weight room with a “step-aside” attitude
It’s not ego, it’s self confidence
Of course the aesthetic benefits of weight lifting are one thing, but there’s something more powerful, on a deep level that started to happen the day I picked up my first dumbbell
Weight lifting is my therapy- my self doubt crusher- my “weaker gender” i don’t think so card- my self confidence booster- my mental health warrior- my self love teacher- and my reminder that I am in fact STRONG as a motherf # # 💪
Every time I pick up that iron I remind myself that I am so much stronger than my thoughts and emotions
Every time I hit the gym I am shattering the perception of the limitations of women and proving how absolutely powerful and enduring the female body truly is (as if giving birth isn’t enough amiright 🤪)

⚡️ Motivation ⚡️
The biggest mistake is to sit there wondering how to get motivated, or inspired. As if it’s just going to just hit you like a lightning bolt
You must ACT first
You just have to start
You must CREATE the momentum for inspiration
⚡️Motivation comes from the discipline of taking action⚡️
Even when you don’t feel like it
Especially when you don’t feel like it
Happy Monday fam. I‘ve been struggling with motivation myself lately, but I know you just have to just keep putting one foot in front of the other. F motivation! Pick yourself up dammit and just keep going!
