Rockwood Youth Baseball League
Teams up with Extra Innings Youth Baseball for another exciting season of organized youth baseball and softball.
May 18th through July 28th @ Vance Park 1400 SE 182nd Ave, Portland, OR 97233, and parks in NE Portland this summer 2026. Games schedules will be displayed on our website rockwoodyouthfoundation.org and Extra Innings website. Come out support the families, build community and have fun.
Any used cleats would be appreciated sizes needed: 11c, 12c, 1y, 2y, or 3y

Home Organization Created for development of youth in sports related activities

The journey began in the spring of 2022 at the Play, Grow, Learn spring break camp. For the first time ever, some of the Rockwood youth experience the wonderful world of baseball. In January 2022, the Rockwood Youth Foundation was created to organize, manage, and fund a youth baseball league for the youth and families of Rockwood. For the following spring break, RYF again provided baseball activities for the PGL spring break campers. That summer, 2023, we began the Rockwood Summer Baseball Program. Evidence from this program proved that there is a major interest in Rockwood for youth baseball. A continued effort to encourage participation in baseball was motivated by the PGL's Monday and Wednesday Youth Activities Nights, combined with the annual Spring Break activities for the PGL Spring Break Campers. Last summer, 2024, the Hopscotch Foundation introduced Albina Baseball/Softball. The Hopscotch Foundation offered Rockwood opportunities to add teams to the youth league they had just established. Needless to say, we stumbled out of the blocks with minimal participation in the summer baseball program last summer.
