PAWMA Camp is only days away! Time to pack! We know of at least several ladies from our region who will be attending Camp for the very first time. Camp veterans, please weigh in: what are some indispensable items you would recommend bringing along to Seattle?

PAWMA - Camp and Events Pacific Association of Women Martial Artists - promote the involvement of women and girls in martial arts.
Question from a member of our community: besides KILL BILL, what are other good movies that highlight female martial artists kicking butt?
Elaine Powell of Traditional Taekwon-do (Portland) is offering a TKD summer camp for kids going into 1st-5th grades. Dates are July 11th - 15th, 9am-Noon. Cost is $75. Private message FMAiO (or Elaine) for more details! "Come kick it up in the sun!"

Female martial artists of all ages, ranks, and styles came together to spar, grapple, and play. Thanks to all who participated! Special thanks to Sifu Patty O'Linger for facilitating, and to Sifu Kyle Alexander for use of the studio space.

This is one of many satisfying fight scenes from a Thai movie called CHOCOLATE (2008), about a young autistic woman (JeeJa Yanin) who has the uncanny ability to absorb precision fighting skills just by watching martial arts movies. Highly recommended!
